Church says ‘thank you’ to Mums!
New Life Church in Old Woking broke with tradition on Mothers Day, canceling its normal service and staging a special event to say thanks to Mums.

The event, which started at 10.30am with free coffee and doughnuts, had as its theme, God says ‘thanks for looking after my children’.

Around this theme, the morning included mime, puppets and children performing songs as well as craft activities for the children. At the end of the event all of the mums went away with a potted plant, a handmade card from their children and a booklet filled with parenting hints & tips.

The event was appreciated and enjoyed by guests and regular attendees alike. Church member, Michelle Kerslake, who helped organise the morning commented, “Mums seemed to really appreciate that we had put the day on especially for them to say thank you!”
