Nigel and Heather Drury, children Gail and Stephen

Since 1987 Nigel and Heather have been involved in a range of aspects of Early Childhood Development in the needy communities of Southern Africa. From a South African base their organisation Little Seeds Trust trains (mostly) women from South Africa and neighbouring and nearby countries including Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique as pre-school teachers in national qualifications. Today there are over 300 students on the register.  Another significant part of the ministry of the Trust is in serving HIV/AIDS focussed home-based care and orphan care organisations through a range of psychosocial support training courses and the development of support structures for orphans and their care-givers.

With over 30% of the adult population infected by the HIV virus in their locality the needs are enormous. In 2006 a ‘Church Mobilization’ programme has started for a district in South Africa whereby Little Seeds is working alongside the local churches fraternal body to bring a range of training to church leaders and members to enable all congregations to get more meaningfully engaged in bringing help to those suffering loss and hardship through AIDS death and resultant disintegration of families. More information can be found on their website:  www.littleseeds.co.za

Rob and Margaret Hill

Rob & Margaret Hill are in north Pakistan as House Parents in Murree Christian School.  It's a challenging task.  We are 'parents' to 15 lively teenage boys of nine different nationalities.  Life in Asia is different to UK but the people are helpful and friendly.

We look forward to having a holiday at home at Christmas before returning for the winter.  The weather at 2200m will be cold with snow.
